Dismissal of a claim filed against our client

Another success for our firm – the court dismissed a lawsuit filed against our client on false pretenses!

The lawsuit was filed by a real estate agency against our client, an employee of the company, claiming that he owes them brokerage fees in the amount of approximately 35,000 NIS, pursuant to a lease agreement for a property that was signed between the agency and the company, our client's employer.
As part of the objection we filed, we argued that our client did sign the lease agreement for the property, but he did so as a representative of the company that employed him, a fact that was known to the real estate company's representatives, and he never received any personal service from them.
It was also argued that the lawsuit was filed in bad faith, especially in light of the fact that our client's employer went bankrupt and that the lawsuit was filed several years late.
Following the submission of his objection, and several hearings held at the Magistrate's Court in Rehovot, including an evidence hearing that included cross-examinations of the parties and oral summations, the court accepted all our arguments and ordered the dismissal of the claim.
